Who Can File Here?
  • Registered DBA - Business Names which are 'Active' can use the renewal process to file a DBA - Business Name Renewal.
What You Will Need to File a Renewal
  • Secretary of State DBA - Business Name ID. If you don't have your DBA - Business Name ID, use the Search option to find it.
  • We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit/debit cards.

Additional Information
  • Renewals can only be filed within 90 days of the expiration date.
  • DBA - Business Names must be renewed every 5 years (See SDCL 37-11-1).
  • Registrations that have expired CANNOT be renewed. You must re-file your DBA - Business Name as a NEW registration.
